StarShield grew up among the mountains and pine forests of Oregon and now lives in Tucker, Georgia. Rooted in shamanic and Toltec spiritual traditions, her poetry explores identity, memory, grief, and the enduring conversation between the human spirit and the natural world. Her writing weaves personal mythology with moments of raw transformation and quiet resilience.

Her work has appeared in Collage: A Journal of Creative Expression, The Nashville Arts Magazine, Raw Journal of Arts, Sunbeams, Lullwater Review, and Atlanta Review. She is a two-time recipient of the Creative Expression Award from Collage and was named an International Merit Award winner by the Atlanta Review.
